Corporate Clinical Nurse Educator-Department of Medical Imaging

June 2017-October 2017

The Ottawa Hospital

  • Experience organizing and providing educational in-services to staff.

  • Experience orienting new staff to the department, organizing clinical buddy time, assigning preceptors, and reviewing performance evaluations.

  • Effective communicator both written and oral, active listener.

  • Experience working with other members of an interdisciplinary health care team in creating corporate medical directives and policies for the department of radiology.

  • Provide continuing educational support to the nursing staff in radiology.

  • Assist with training Medical Radiation Technologists (MRT's) for IV therapy.

  • Active participant in staff meetings, committee meetings, educator forum and focus group meetings.
